The Table Mountain Experience 2006
My family and I are in South Africa staying in Cape Town. Near by is a place called Table Mountain and we decide to go explore this place. It is a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town in South Africa. It is a significant tourist attraction, with many visitors using the cableway or hiking to the top. Table Mountain National Park is the most visited national park in South Africa, attracting 4.2 million people every year for various activities.

I have seen people do it, but it is discouraged. They would rather you buy a drink from the bar or cocktail server.

They got rid of gameworks at the showcase, they got rid of rock climbing at show case, they got rid of the movie theatre at the show case, they got rid of boxing arena outside of Caesar’s, they got rid of wet n wild (spectacular) now they want to get rid of the mirage. If there’s anything you enjoy, they’ll get rid of it.
I know it sucks. I did learn something today. A mini theme park is being created at Neonoplis across the street from the Fremont Street Experience. That could be interesting.

Hey Ron. I had a blast hanging with you and the TMB. I too went to the Circa stage and got 1 song from Atomic Radio before the Circa parked a new Ford pickup truck right in front of the band! WTF
I am going tomorrow on Saturday to watch the Atomic Radio and right after that Alter Ego. Both are performing on the same stage by Circa. We will probably be sitting over at Whiskey Liquor Up Pato area. My wife and I are going to be sitting there for at least 7 hours. LOL. I will probably be doing some capturing. FYI, I am going to attempt to try my first live stream from home next Friday at 6 pm Vegas time. That would be 9 pm for you? So, if you plan on watching please don't laugh too much. LOL. This will be an educational experience for me and a test to see if I want to do this in the future.

Las Vegas Blvd used to be nice. That was back in the '90's. Used to visit quite a few times with my wife. Then I moved to Las Vegas to see if I could relocate out there. Then I moved back out just before the downtimes in Las Vegas. I didn't own a car when I lived in Las Vegas either. Had to walk or take a bus. If you go down Sahara Blvd you will come to Palace Station.

Why are you scare mongering? You are clearly near the Strat, the northern part of the strip has always been mostly empty. Also it is cleary early morning, which mean yes, people are sleeping so, yes the strip will be more empty. Stop spreading misinformation, good grief. Also in every stupid state they close the roads off for marathons.

First off, I want to thank you for the video and share with you how it was an eventful weekend during my first visit to Vegas (2/21 - 2/26) and learning about the Rock & Roll Running series event that was taking place that weekend with a 5k race on Saturday and a 10k/half marathon on Sunday. I had ventured out on my own Sunday morning and was able to take the Deuce Bus from Fremont up to the Strat which I had a ticket for a 10 am tour up to the observation decks. I had actually got there early and saw a bunch of people in blue shirts, tents, music and people being cheered, found out later that it was the Scale the Strat event that was taking place. Lovely I thought, the entry to the tour up to the observation decks was delayed by 20 minutes. After my visit at the Strat I had gotten on a south bound bus that eventually discontinued service right before Convention Center Drive due to the race that was about to take place that afternoon. I got off and continued my tour on foot, having lunch at a White Castle and taking in the sights and hotels along the way before turning around by the Bellagio Hotel. Although finding myself frustrated by the race taking place and being caught in it and not wanting to walk away from strip to try and catch an uber that would had cost me over $60 at that time because of the detouring it would need to take to get me back to my hotel, I decided to pace myself and walk it back. In a way I am thankful that I was caught in the race, because there is parts of the strip past the Strat heading back to Fremont that I would not had walk at night.

I loved Vegas back in the 70s. Now, it is a totally different place. I used to work at the Dune's Hotel and Country Club as a room service waiter. It would not surprise me to see Las Vegas deserted someday.

I still can't figure out how to enter that costume contest. I had huge wings that lit up and really wanted to enter it. This is the second year I've tried and nobody seems to know how to enter...even the security guards had no idea......😔
I tried to find out myself and the only information I got is to wear the scariest costume or whatever you got. It is easy to find out what time, but I can only assume people gather by the stage in the back and a quick selection process is made to see who they will pick to be considered for the contest. I am guessing only a certain amount of people can participate, because of the time element.
